In this passage, we see the tragic story of the great flood that destroys mankind and all living things on the earth. God has enormous patience and gives more than ample time for people to turn from their \"evil ways.\" But God's patience is not forever, there is a limit, and in this passage, we see the limits of His patience with mankind. That said, we also see grace within judgement when he saves Noah and his family to start again.
