One of the beautiful aspects of the Bible is how it weaves so many stories, themes, and people together over centuries and millennia. This is one of the great marks of its inspiration and unique literary composition. Melchizedek is mentioned in only 3 verse in Genesis 14 and then not mentioned until 1000 years later by David in Psalm 110:4 and then another 1000 years passes and he is mentioned in even greater detail as the type of Christ in Hebrews 5, 6, and 7!
