As a child, Hawa received a free Mercy Ships surgery to remove a life-threatening tumor. After her surgery, Hawa’s father had an idea: “You have to become a nurse too, so that you can save others’ life as they did for you.” Hawa’s father passed away, but she made his dream her own.
