Two decades ago, Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Samateh first experienced the work of Mercy Ships. That helped inspire him to become a surgeon. Eventually, he rose to the position of Minister of Health for his nation, The Gambia. This year, he partnered with Mercy Ships to bring free surgeries and training to his people once again.
