After losing a leg to bone cancer at 12 and undergoing 11 surgeries, Trent didn’t know if he could make it up the gangway of the GlobalMercy with his prosthetic leg. But he did—and for the past 15 months, he’s been serving as team lead in the preoperative department, helping provide life-changing surgeries for patients. “I see God's love for the people of Sierra Leone.
