Raised by a chronically ill dad, who could not walk, and by an alcoholic mom, Patti Garibay, wanted something better for girls. She 'wanted a childhood or a girlhood that could be enjoyed.' Unintentionally she founded the now national American Heritage Girls scouting organization with God centered focus. For all girls, it is a redemptive organization teaching girls leadership and giving girls the power to overcome obstacles by encouraging true faith.
