Shane Beamer is the head football coach at South Carolina. He finished his first season with the Gamecocks in 2021 and went 7-6, winning the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, 38-21, over North Carolina. Beamer is the son of former Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer and played football for his father in the late 1990s as a wide receiver and long snapper.
