Just as his career was skyrocketing, MLB pitcher Dave Dravecky discovered a lump on his left arm—his pitching arm—that turned out to be a malignant cancerous tumor. Dave made a comeback after surgery, but his arm broke. It indicated a recurrence of the cancer, and necessitated the amputation of his arm and shoulder, and the end of his MLB career. Though Dave began a new career as a speaker and author, it would ultimately take God's grace to heal him and guide him.
