Skip Schumaker was selected in the fifth round of the 2001 MLB Draft. Four years later, he made his big league debut with the Cardinals. He went on to play seven years with St. Louis (2005-12) and was a member of the 2011 World Series championship team. After a season with the Dodgers and two more with the Reds, Schumaker’s playing career ended in 2016.
