Amos 2 4-16: Listen to God

The book of Amos is God’s word to a people very much like those in our modern day. They had none of the technology of our day of course. Their character as demonstrated by the way they treated God and their fellow man has a lot of similarities to America today, and many other countries as well. Speaking for God, Amos introduces God’s words by saying “the Lion Roars” in Amos 1:2. We’ll see that many of the Israelites of that day didn’t listen to God.
