In the first eleven verses of chapter eighteen, we see Jesus betrayed and arrested. When we here those two words, betrayed and arrested, it sounds to us like Jesus is no longer in control of His destiny. You lose a lot of freedom when you’re arrested. We’re going to see that Jesus essentially conducts His own arrest. Jesus is in control of everything that happens. The point of all of this is that Jesus has made a way for you to be saved.
