Betrayal is one of the most painful human experiences, but the book of Hosea reveals something remarkable: God knows our tendency to wander and chooses us anyway. Through the prophet Hosea's own marriage to a woman who would eventually leave him, God illustrates the depth of His love for His people and the grief He feels when we turn away. Rather than walking away from those who betray Him, God pursues them relentlessly and at great personal cost.
